We operate an e-shop on the website mikrobiom.medgene.at
We process some personal data when selling goods and operating our website.
The processing of personal data is subject in particular to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Regulation 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR").
I. Processing of personal data
A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form
If you contact us in connection with our products and services, we process your contact data that you provide to us, primarily via the contact form. This personal data includes First name, last name, address, e-mail, telephone number.
For what reason?
On the basis of the personal data provided, we will then contact you in connection with our product range.
On what legal basis?
The processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR - performance of a contract or implementation of pre-contractual measures at your request.
If you do not provide us with this personal data, we will not be able to communicate with you to conclude a contract for the supply of our goods or services.
B. Processing of personal data in the event of a purchase
When you make a purchase from us, we process the personal data that we need from you in order to conclude a contract for the provision of our goods or services. This is mainly billing data: First name, last name, address, e-mail, telephone number
For what reason?
We need to process the personal data in order to fulfill our obligations under the contract - delivery of goods. We also use the contact details to communicate with you about the status of your order, complaints or your questions.
In addition, we process personal data to fulfill our obligations under generally binding legal regulations (especially for accounting and tax purposes or to process complaints).
On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR - performance of a contract and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR - compliance with our legal obligation.
If you do not provide us with this personal data, we will not be able to enter into a contract with you for the supply of our goods or services.
How long will we process personal data?
Unless we enter into further cooperation, we will process your personal data for a maximum of 1 year from our last communication.
C. Newsletter (commercial communication)
Unless you have purchased goods or services from us and have expressly opted out of receiving marketing communications, we will use your email address to send you our marketing communications.
On what legal basis?
The processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), i.e. on the basis of our legitimate interests, which are to send targeted marketing communications to our customers.
How long will we process personal data?
2 years from your last purchase. If you no longer wish to receive our marketing communications, you can unsubscribe at any time by email or by contacting us at the following address: mikrobiom@medgene.at
II. Who has access to the data?
Your personal data remains with us. However, there are some companies or other people who work for us who have access to your personal data because they help us operate our e-shop. These are:
- the operator of the e-shop platform Medgene, s.r.o., Ondrejovova 971/30, 82103 Bratislava, ID no.: 36 550 931
- Companies involved in the shipment of goods - depending on the selection made when placing the order
- Companies involved in the shipment of payments - according to the selection made when placing the order
We process personal data only in the European Union.
III. What else you should know
We do not have a data protection officer in our company.
Automated decision-making or profiling does not take place in our company.

IV. Your rights in relation to the processing of personal data
Among other things, the GDPR gives you the right to contact us and request information about what personal data we process about you, to obtain access to this data and to update or correct it or to request a restriction on processing, to request a copy of the personal data we process, to request that we delete your personal data in certain situations and, in certain cases, to make your personal data portable. You can object to processing on the basis of a legitimate interest.
If you believe that we are not handling your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in our jurisdiction is the Slovak Data Protection Authority, or to take legal action.
