if oral hygiene is inadequate, tartar-forming (plaque) bacteria settle on the surface and form a biofilm. The colonization of the tooth and the tooth pocket shows a characteristic sequence of bacterial species, starting with germs of the green (Capnocytophaga spp., Eikenella corrodens) and orange/orange-associated (Eubacterium nodatum, Parvimonas micra, Prevotella intermedia and others) up to the red complex (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tannerella forsythia, Treponema denticola) and the Aa complex, with the most aggressive type Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans. Phenomenologically, the microbial infestation manifests itself in the patient as caries, gingivitis, periodontitis or, after a dental implant, as implantitis. It is known that in particular the species Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium nucleatum, can migrate into the intestinal area and can be associated with various diseases. The most important bacteria can be detected using a PCR test. An extended microbiome analysis with next generation sequencing (NGS; dentales Mikrobiomprofil) enables a complete cataloging of the species present and their assessment for your oral health.
PCR-Test: Clarification of relevant periodontopathogenic bacteria (12 types) before tooth restoration and implantation
Microbiome analysis with nanopore technology: bacteria associated with tartar formation, caries, periodontitis, mucositis, implantitis and bad breath (halitosis)
